Terms of Use

By using the Syrian Digital Economy Map you agree to the following terms. The platform is a public service provided by the Ministry of Economy and Industry through its Directorate of Digital Economic Transformation, with the aim of connecting people and investors with verified digital-economy companies in Syria.

01

What a listing means

The appearance of an entity on the platform means the Ministry has verified its legal registration, its commercial register and its basic details.

Neither the listing nor the verified badge means the Ministry endorses the entity's services or products, guarantees their quality or solvency, or recommends dealing with it.

Sectors that require a licence from a competent authority, such as fintech, digital assets and trading, are shown with the licensing authority and number. Listing is not an endorsement or recommendation of the service.

02

Accuracy of information

Company data is provided by the companies themselves and reviewed at verification, and may change afterwards. The Ministry makes reasonable efforts to keep it current but does not guarantee it is complete or up to date at all times.

Users must verify independently before entering into any commercial or financial dealing. The Ministry is not responsible for decisions taken on the basis of information on the platform.

03

Obligations of listed companies

A company declares that the data it provides is accurate and complete, that it is authorised to provide it, and that the attached commercial register was issued by the competent authority.

A company must inform the Directorate of any material change in its details, legal status or licences.

Providing misleading data or impersonating another entity leads to rejection of the application or removal from the map, without prejudice to legal action.

04

Acceptable use

Platform data may be consulted and cited with attribution.

Automated tools may not be used to harvest data at a rate that harms the service, and the database, or a substantial part of it, may not be republished commercially without the Ministry's written permission.

The contact channels of listed companies may not be used for unsolicited bulk messaging.

05

Intellectual property

The platform's design, logo and texts belong to the Ministry of Economy and Industry. Company names and logos belong to their owners and are displayed with their consent as part of the application.

Satellite imagery on the map comes from the European Copernicus programme as processed by EOX under the CC BY 4.0 licence; governorate boundaries come from Ministry data.

06

Availability and liability

The platform is provided as is and may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. The Ministry accepts no liability for any direct or indirect damage arising from use of, or inability to use, the platform.

Links to companies' websites and platforms are external, and the Ministry is not responsible for their content.

07

Changes and governing law

The Ministry may amend these terms or suspend or change the service at any time. Amendments are published on this page with their date.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Syrian Arab Republic, whose courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

This is a preliminary draft pending approval by the Legal Department of the Ministry of Economy and Industry.
